Putin briefs Lukashenko, Tokayev and Mirziyoyev on Alaska meeting results

Russian President Vladimir Putin has briefed his counterparts from Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan about the results of his meeting with U.S. leader Donald Trump in Alaska.

Yesterday, Russian President Vladimir Putin has briefed his Belarusian counterpart, Alexander Lukashenko, about the results of his meeting with U.S. leader Donald Trump on August 15, the Kremlin press service said.

"Putin informed about the results of his talks with the U.S. president in Anchorage. Lukashenko welcomed steps that are being taken toward settling the Ukrainian crisis and, in turn, told Putin about his phone call with Donald Trump om August 15," the Kremlin said.

The Russian President also briefed his Kazakh counterpart, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev about the results of the Russia-US summit in Alaska.

"The Russian president held a phone call with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Vladimir Putin gave his assessment of the results of the Russia-US summit meeting in Alaska," the press service said.

The leaders also discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda, including the implementation of joint mutually beneficial energy projects.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has also briefed his Uzbek counterpart, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, on the results of his talks with Trump, Mirziyoyev’s press service said after their phone call.

"The Russian president informed our leader about the key results of the August 15 Russian-US summit in Anchorage," the statement reads.

The sides also discussed adopting coordinated measures to preserve the current dynamic of the trade and economic cooperation and speed up the implementation of priority projects for cooperation between Uzbek and Russian companies. They stressed the importance of continuing contacts and exchanges on all levels, the Uzbek leader's press service added.
