Russian Interior Ministry says remains of Said Buryatsky’s gang dead
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaSpecial services of Ingushetia have held a mass operation in two villages. The law-enforcers say they finished of the “leftovers” of Said Buryatsky’s gang, Kommersant reports.
The special operation was a response to murder of two FSB officers last week.
Three militants were killed and one arrested at the villages of Orzhinikidzevskaya and Ekazhevo.
Imran Albogachiyev had been killed in the Orzhonikidzevskaya Village when resisting a detention, Magomed Buguchev self-exploded later. Militant Amir Toldiyev was surrounded in a private house at Ekazhevo Village. He was killed when resisting to surrender.
The police believe that the killed militants were supporters of the Wahhabi ideologist Said Buryatsky (Alexander Tikhomirov), who had been killed in Ekazhevo in March 2010. The criminals were part of a well-organized group that had attacked law-enforcers. Large quantities of weapons and ammo in their houses were found.
Ingush Leader Yunus-Bek Yevkurov said that they managed to find the terrorists using information from militants detained earlier.
Three gang members gave up within a week. They provided information. Yevkurov underlined that their goal is not to kill militants.
