Vladimir Putin arrives in China

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in the Chinese city of Tianjin. At the airport, the head of the Russian state was welcomed by a guard of honor.

Putin arrived in China at the invitation of the Chinese President Xi Jinping. In Tianjin, the Russian leader will take part in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, on the sidelines of which bilateral meetings with foreign leaders will take place.

The program of the visit also includes a visit to Beijing. There, the Russian president will hold a trilateral meeting with the leaders of Mongolia and China, along with separate talks with Xi Jinping and other heads of state are planned.

In addition, Vladimir Putin's aide Yuri Ushakov did not rule out his meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, who also arrived in China.

The Russian president will also attend ceremonial events in Beijing as thr guest of honor, marking the 80th anniversary of the victory over militarist Japan and the end of World War II.
