Wildfires have engulfed the province of Denizli in Türkiye. Residents are being evacuated.

Severe forest fires continue in Türkiye. The country's authorities have evacuated residents of some areas of the Denizli province, local media reported.

84 houses in two settlements in the mountainous area were subject to urgent evacuation. According to experts, the difficulties in extinguishing the fire are due to the intense heat in Türkiye that persists over the past weeks.

The first fires were recorded in the provinces of Mersin and Karabuk in late July. At least 10 people died as a result of the disaster, over 1,000 were evacuated.
