Armenia and Poland to promote military and technical cooperation
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaDuring the visit to Poland September 7-9 Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan met his Polish counterpart Tomasz Siemoniak, as well as Foreign Minister Rodislav Sikorski, Head of the National Security Bureau Stanisław Koziej and Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defense Stanislaw Wziątek, Public Radio of Armenia reports.
The perspectives of expansion of Armenian-Polish relations were discussed at these meetings. Reference was also made to the process of settlement of the Karabakh issue and the activity of the International Security Force in Afghanistan.
The parties agreed to sign an agreement on military-technical cooperation between Armenia and Poland, as well as on cooperation in the field of military education.
During the visit to Poland Seyran Ohanyan met with representatives of the local Armenian community. The Minister presented the problems existing in the Armenian Armed Forces and the development programs, the situation at the line of contact between the Armenian and Azerbaijani armed forces, the security challenges facing Armenia.
