Netanyahu announces massive military operation in Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the start of a "massive" ground operation and also called on civilians to leave the city.

"Now all of this is just an introduction, just a prelude, to the main intense operation — a ground maneuver of our forces, who are now organizing and gathering in Gaza City. And so I say to the residents of Gaza <...> listen to me carefully: You have been warned. Get out of there!",

Benjamin Netanyahu said.

According to Netanyahu, IDF units recently destroyed 50 Hamas strongholds in Gaza during combat operations.

Earlier, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said that the IDF could completely destroy Gaza if Hamas continues to resist.

Let us recall that in early August, the Israeli military-political cabinet approved a military operation in Gaza to occupy the city and eliminate Hamas.
