Interim president of Syria to come to Russia

Interim Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa will visit Russia in October, according to Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.

Novak, currently leading a Russian delegation in Damascus, made the announcement during a joint press conference with Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani.

"We are paying special attention to the upcoming visit of President Ahmed al-Sharaa to Moscow to participate in the Russian-Arab summit",

Alexander Novak said.

It should be noted that the summit mentioned by the Deputy Prime Minister will take place on October 15.
