Over 350 people detained in Türkiye on suspicion of cybercrime
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaTurkish law enforcement has detained 364 people suspected of involvement in cybercrime, as announced in a September 15 statement published on the social media accounts of Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya.
"Over the past ten days, 364 suspects have been detained in our cybercrime operations. Among these, 125 have been arrested, while judicial control measures have been imposed on 94 suspects,"
the Turkish minister stated.
Investigations revealed that the suspects deceived citizens through various schemes, including fake insurance services, gift certificate offers, and fraudulent investment advice. They also facilitated illegal money transfers through gambling websites and profited by gaining unauthorized access to mobile banking accounts and personal information.
