Kazakhstan purchases record amount of gold from Russia

Russian gold exports to Kazakhstan reached a record $76.95 million in July 2025, as reported by Kazakhstan Customs.

"In mid-summer, Kazakhstan imported gold exclusively from Russia. A more significant figure was only recorded in April 2024 , at $83 million",

Kazakhstan Customs reported.

Meanwhile, Russian silver exports to Kazakhstan declined by nearly 20% year-on-year to $15,300. Despite this decrease, Russia remained among the top three silver suppliers to Kazakhstan, meeting 17% of the country's needs in July, behind Italy (43%) and Spain (30%).
