Syria wants to avoid war with Israel

The Syrian authorities seek peace with other countries, including Israel, the Syrian president stated at a meeting with the former CIA director in New York.

Despite all of Israel's actions, Syria seeks to avoid war with the country, Syrian Interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa said in a conversation with former CIA Director David Petraeus.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, currently underway in New York.
