Lavrov and Rubio to meet today

Speaking at the UN General Assembly in New York, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin confirmed a meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. It is scheduled for September 24.

"Of course, this is known; a meeting between the Minister and the US Secretary of State is planned; it will be tomorrow",

Sergey Vershinin said.

Vershinin had earlier described the agenda for the meeting between Lavrov and Rubio as "extensive".
