Leader of Separatist Kurds, Abdullah Ocalan might be sent to Turkish prison

Adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Firudin Sinirlioglu and the head of the Kurdish administration in northern Iraq, Massoud Barzani discussed the issue of sending the leader of the Kurdistan’s Workers' Party, Abdullah Ocalan to an Istanbul prison, Trend reports.

Abdullah Ocalan was captured by Turkish authorities in 1999 and at sentenced to death. Later the punishment was replaced with life imprisonment, which Abdullah Ocalan is serving in a prison on the island Imraly.

During his visit to Iraq Sinirlioglu discussed the fight against terrorism in the region, and the elimination of Kurdistan’s Workers’ Party forces in the region.

Participants of the meeting have agreed that Turkey will conduct a war operation if the Kurdistan’s Workers’ Party refuses to leave the Iranian-Turkish boarder.
