Russian Ministry of Defense announce joint exercises with Pakistan

Joint exercises between Russia and Pakistan concluded at a training ground in the Southern Military District (SMD), according to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"The joint Russian-Pakistani drills "Friendship-2025" were held at a training ground in Russia's Southern Military District",

the Russian Ministry of Defense announced.

Military personnel from both nations practiced conducting joint counter-terrorism operations during the exercises.

The maneuvers involved approximately 200 troops, with Russian special forces from the Southern Military District contributing their counter-terrorism expertise.

Russian-Pakistani exercises have been held regularly since 2016. Last October, the exercises were held on Pakistani territory.
