No US troops to be deployed in Gaza, Brad Cooper says

US troops who arrived in Israel to monitor the implementation of the peace agreement between the Jewish state and Hamas will not be stationed in Gaza.

US troops will not be deployed in Gaza to participate in the peace process, Admiral Brad Cooper, head of US Central Command (CENTCOM), announced.

"This great effort will be achieved with no US boots on the ground in Gaza,”

– Brad Cooper informed.

Cooper noted that a Civil-Military Cooperation Center, managed by CENTCOM, is being established in the Palestinian enclave.
