Kazakhstan to hold international military drills
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaKazakhstan will hold mass joint military drills “Center” in late September. Military forces are at the Oymasha range on the Caspian coast.
Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine will participate.
Practical drills will be held the Ashuluk range of the Astrakhan Region in Russia. Kazakh, Russian, Belarusian and Ukrainian forces will take part, Trend reports.
Training will also be organized in Kyrgyzstan and the Layaur range in Tajikistan. They will involve groups of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Force.
The drills will be supervised by the HQ of the Central Military District of Russia in Yekaterinburg. Kazakh forces will be commanded by deputy chairman of the committee of command staffs General-Major Mukan Dyusekeyev.
The training process will involve 43 Russian and Kazakh ships, air support, about 3,500 servicemen. The Oymasha range has already started preparations under supervision of the Commander of Kazakh Ground Forces General-Lieutenant Murat Maykeyev.
