Iran inaugurates solar power plants across 12 provinces

Iran has launched new solar power plants (SPPs) in 12 provinces as well as smaller rooftop systems. The plants' total capacity is 250 megawatts (MW).

President Pezeshkian personally commissioned the plants and announced plans for a major 400 MW solar facility in Tehran.

This expansion raises Iran's total renewable energy capacity to 2,550 MW, establishing a substantial foundation for future green energy development.
