The situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani contact line of forces is of concern to the OSCE, Director of the OSCE Center for Conflict Prevention, Adam Koberatsky, said in an interview with Moskovskiye Novosti.

There have been over 20 incidents resulting in deaths on the contact line this year. Civilian casualties were also registered.

Koberatsky reminded that the OSCE chairman visited Armenia and Azerbaijan where he urged the states to remove snipers. He expressed regret that the deal on investigation of incidents on the contact line signed in Sochi has not been realized. Koberatsky spoke for further pressure on both sides of conflict and welcomes personal efforts of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev as a mediator.
