Putin and Tokayev discuss Russia-Kazakhstan cooperation

The presidents of Russia and Kazakhstan discussed bilateral cooperation and preparations for Tokayev's first state visit to Moscow. The visit is scheduled for November 12.

Today, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev ahead of the Kazakh leader's state visit to Moscow.

"The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the Russian-Kazakh strategic partnership and alliance, emphasizing the consistent implementation of joint projects in trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres," the Kremlin press service said.

The two leaders also discussed preparations for Tokayev's first state visit to the Russian capital, set for November 12.

"Some practical issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed in the context of preparations for the Kazakh President's upcoming state visit to Russia," the Kremlin said.
