Georgian President arrives in Türkiye for World Cup Qualifier

Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili has arrived in Turkey, according to Georgian media.

Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister and other officials welcomed the president at Istanbul Airport. Kavelashvili's visit coincides with tonight's Georgia-Turkey match starting at 9:45 PM Moscow time, which he will attend with family members.

Kavelashvili himself has a rich professional football background. He won the Russian Championship with Spartak-Alania Vladikavkaz.
