Türkiye experiences worst September drought in half-century

Türkiye experienced critically low rainfall levels this September, marking the most severe drought since 1973.

Meteorological data shows precipitation levels were 37% lower last month compared to September of the previous year.

Central and southeastern provinces suffered most severely from drought conditions, with experts forecasting potential crop failures and critical decrease in water supplies.

It is noted that the main cause of drought in Türkiye is global warming.
