Media: Fidan and Rubio discuss Gaza situation

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke by phone on Thursday, October 16, according to a Turkish ministerial source.

"During the conversation, measures were discussed that could be taken to continue the ceasefire in Gaza and ensure the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid to the region",

Turkish Foreign Ministry source said.

The source emphasized the conversation also addressed implementation of the declaration of intent signed in Egypt, RIA Novosti reports.

The diplomats also discussed recent Syrian developments, the situation with the negotiations on Iran's nuclear program, and Ukrainian settlement efforts.
