Iran vows to maximize engagement with SCO and BRICS
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaAt the first meeting of the SCO and BRICS Coordination Headquarters, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi characterized SCO and BRICS participants as like-minded nations, which act in line with common interests and goals.
"While these organizations aren't new, we joined them recently and do not observe any disagreements or conflicts of interest, especially when discussing issues related to one of the member countries",
Kazem Gharibabadi said.
The Deputy Minister highlighted both organizations' rapid response to recent Israeli-US operations against Iran, noting they convened emergency sessions and issued forceful condemnations.
This is a potential that must be harnessed in the common interest – the interests of independent countries, non-aligned countries, and developing countries. From this perspective, the work entrusted to us in relation to these two organizations is truly crucial and important, the diplomat concluded.
