80% of Big Ice-Hockey Arena completed in Sochi

The Big Ice-Hockey Arena at the Olympic park in Sochi has been completed by 80%, head of the construction section of Olimpstroy, Murat Ahmediyev, told RIA Novosti.

Construction of the arena started in July 2009. 77% of work has been done. Ventilation, air cooling, water supplies, heating, fire security systems, automatic emergency systems have been completed by 86%.
About 40,000 photodiode lamps will be used for the big screen.

The arena will open in May 2012.
