EU adopts new package of anti-Russian sanctions

The European Union has approved the 19th package of sanctions against Russia, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said.

According to her, it targets Russian banks, crypto exchanges, entities in India and China, among others.

The 19th package of EU sanctions includes a ban on purchase of Russian LNG for European countries. The EU is also limiting Russian diplomats' travel within the EU.

Earlier, the U.S. Department of the Treasury announced additional sanctions against Russia targeting the Rosneft and Lukoil oil companies.
