Nalchik residents plant trees in Atazhukinsky Garden

Local residents participated in an environmental action within Kabardino-Balkaria's central park yesterday, planting young trees as part of the nationwide "Save the Forest" campaign.

Although Atazhukinsky Garden is not subject to felling, but there are still some areas where trees do not grow. Nalchik residents planted common maples and ash trees, as well as noble red oaks and walnuts.

 

According to TASS, residents of the village of Khasanya joined ordinary Nalchik residents and officials from Kabardino-Balkaria's government agencies.

By joining the "Save the Forest" campaign, the authorities of Kabardino-Balkaria intend to expand forest plantings in the republic by 35 hectares, bringing in over 67,000 new trees.
