Upper Lars now: About 1,200 trucks stuck at Russian-Georgian border

Approximately 1,200 heavy trucks are currently queued at North Ossetia's Upper Lars checkpoint, according to regional government officials.

"On the territory of the republic, 1,200 units of heavy vehicles are currently waiting their turn to cross the state border of the Verkhniy Lars international checkpoint",

the press service reported.

Officials clarified that 780 trucks are located in specialized parking lots.

It is noted that there are currently no restrictions on traffic along the Georgian Military Road.
