Sochi to build anti-avalanche system by end of 2011

Sochi will conclude formation of the anti-avalanche system at the Roza Khutor resort in late 2011, Executive Director of the Roza Khutor branch Alexander Belokobylsky said, Yuga.ru reports.

The official noted that they took into account the recommendations of the FIS and the Swiss institute for avalanches. GAZEX cannons will be installed.

The anti-avalanche service was formed in mid-2010. It receives information from 6 meteorological stations online.
