Tbilisi to host talks on public society within Eastern Partnership

Tbilisi will host a meeting to discuss opportunities and challenges of the public society within the framework of the Eastern Partnership program today, Trend reports.

The meeting is significant within the framework of the talks planned in Warsaw on September 29-30, a summit entitled “Politics of the Eastern Partnership”. Discussions will concern the European neighbourhood within cooperation with the EU, national platform of the civil society and countries’ authorities. A new document on changes in the neighbourhood was passed by the EU in May 2001. The document wants the civil society to contribute more into processes of the Eastern Partnership program and cooperate more actively on the main points of the neighbourhood policy.
