Turkey to continue buying gas from Russia - Alparslan Bayraktar
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaTurkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar has reaffirmed that Turkey will continue purchasing natural gas from Russia.
The minister recalled that Turkey has been importing natural gas from Russia since the late 1980s.
"Russia has always been and remains a reliable supplier of natural gas to Turkey. Gas deliveries from Russia are ongoing. There is no crisis, no issues, and there won’t be any," Bayraktar said.
Earlier, it was reported that Russia’s pipeline gas supplies to Turkey rose by 16% in January-September 2025 year-on-year to 16 bln cubic meters. In September, Turkey imported a total of 1.45 bcm from Russia.
