Özgür Özel re-elected as CHP chairman

The Republican People's Party of Türkiye elected Özgür Özel as its leader for the fourth consecutive term. The opposition politician received over 1,300 votes.

Özgür Özel was re-elected as chairman of the Republican People's Party (CHP) of Türkiye. The voting took place at the party’s 39th extraordinary congress.

According to Turkish media, 1,333 voters voted in favor of Özel. This marks his 4th consecutive term as the leader of the opposition party.
