Russia and Iran to discuss investment in Azar oil field from other companies

Gazprom Neft and the Iranian National Oil Company will discuss realization of the project to develop the Azar oil field in Iran, Russian Energy Minister Sergey Shmatko and Iranian Petroleum Minister Rustam Kazemi said, Interfax reports.

The Russian minister said at a press conference in Iran on September 12 that Iran will determine the prospects of developing Azar within a month.

Iran said in late August that Gazprom Neft is dragging the work out and may deprive it of the right to develop the oil field.
