Türkiye calls to stop attacks on commercial vessels in the Black Sea

Ankara demands to stop the attacks on non-military ships near Turkish territory and not to jeopardize cargo flows from the Black Sea to the Aegean Sea, Hakan Fidan said today in Doha.

Türkiye is extremely concerned about the latest attacks on civilian cargo ships in the Black Sea, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated during a panel discussion on the Ukrainian settlement at the Doha Forum.

Fidan noted that Ankara has already brought its position on this issue to Kiev: civilian objects should not become targets for military attacks, regardless of their affiliation (both the ships themselves and the cargo on board).
