Azerbaijani and Iranian FMs discuss trade growth prospects

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi discussed the issues of bilateral relations, international and regional relations.

According to Bayramov, 2025 was an important year for Azerbaijani-Iranian relations.

He noted that the two countries held talks on political, economic, transport and communications issues, regional security, and international relations.

"In 2024, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Iran amounted to approximately $650 million, and in the first 10 months of 2025, it was approximately $520 million," Jeyhun Bayramov said.

The diplomat also confirmed that construction of the Agbend-Kelale road bridge continues, with completion expected in 2026.
