Azerbaijan's wind power production doubles

Wind power generation in Azerbaijan reached 100 million kWh from January to November 2025, doubling the output from the same period last year, according to figures released by the State Statistical Committee.

The solar energy sector also recorded significant growth, with generation rising by 10.1% year-on-year to 572.5 million kWh. 

Thermal power plants remain the main source of electricity, generating 20.4 billion kWh, an increase of 0.9%. Hydroelectric power plants reduced their share by 2%, generating 2.7 billion kWh. The smallest volume was in the energy segment using waste incineration – 172.9 million kWh, representing a decrease of 5.4%.
