The Armenian Parliament has passed a bill on citizenship in the first reading, News.am reports.

The law lifts the need for language exams. Armenian natives, their wifes/husbands, parents have a simplified citizenship granting. The law contradicts the Constitution that requires knowledge of the Armenian language.

Children aged 14-18 whose parents have Armenian citizenship may be granted citizenship via a request in written form.
