Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said he has asked Russia to address the restoration of the railway infrastructure.

"I have asked our Russian partners to urgently address, in particular, the full restoration of the railway from Yeraskh to the Nakhchivan border and from Akhurik to the Turkish border," Nikol Pashinyan said.

The PM added that in the near future, he will also raise the same issue regarding the Ijevan-Khazakh section. He expressed hope that the Russian partners would fulfill this request as swiftly as possible.

An agreement where Russia's South Caucasus Railway, a subsidiary of Russian Railways, manages Armenia's railway network extends to 2038.
