Chinese earthquake felt in Kazakhstan

An earthquake that occurred in China on the night of December 21-22 was perceptible in neighboring Kazakhstan, according to the National Data Center of Kazakhstan. 

The quake, which registered a magnitude of 5.0, was recorded at approximately 02:16 local time in Astana. 

Seismologists note that residents of Almaty felt the earthquake with an intensity of 2.0 on the Richter scale.
