Tbilisi begins free trade talks with Belgrade

Georgia and Serbia are beginning free trade talks, the Georgian Ministry of Economy announced on December 22.

A joint statement formally launching the talks will be issued during Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili's official visit to Serbia.

During her trip, Minister Kvrivishvili will co-chair the second session of the bilateral commission on trade and economic cooperation, where future collaboration will be discussed.

The minister's agenda also includes an inspection of the large-scale "Belgrade Waterfront" development project, being implemented by Eagle Hills, as well as a visit to the Belgrade Exhibition Centre to view a multimedia presentation of the upcoming international exhibition – Expo 2027.
