Monument in memory of AZAL plane crash victims unveiled in Grozny

The unveiling of a memorial monument dedicated to the victims of the Azerbaijan Airlines plane crash took place today in Grozny.

A monument in memory of the victims of the AZAL plane crash near Aktau was unveiled in Grozny, Chechnya, in the Heydar Aliyev Square, ahead of the tragedy's anniversary.

Galas Taymaskhanov, head of the Chechen presidential administration and government, spoke at the event. He expressed his condolences to all the relatives of those killed in the plane crash, which, he emphasized, was terrible news for everyone.
