The pilot initiative for selling premium gasoline commenced on December 25, leading to an immediate price rise, as announced by Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad.

He specified that the new price is set at 800,000 rials per liter.

According to Paknejad, the project aims to study consumer demand and market response to the revised pricing.

"At least 17 companies have already received permission to import this type of gasoline, but their market entry will depend on the pilot phase results and consumer reaction to the final price",

Paknejad stated.
