New terminal "Zvartnots" opens in Yerevan

A new passenger terminal was opened at Zvartnots international airport in Yerevan on Friday in the presence of President Serzh Sargsyan, the News-Armenia reports.

The total investment cost of the project, which began in October 2008, amounts to $160 million.

With the opening of the new terminal, Zvartnots airport will be able to handle up to 3.5 million passengers annually, compared to 1.6 million in the past.
