AZAL doubles profit

Azerbaijan's AZAL airline nearly doubled its profit last year. It amounted to 216 million manat ($127 million). 

According to the financial report, flight revenue amounted to nearly 2 billion manat. Operating expenses included just over 456 million manat for aircraft fuel and slightly above 624 million manat for other costs.

AZAL's assets grew by 12% last year, reaching almost 3 billion manat. The airline's total capital for 2024 exceeded 2 billion manat, while its capital expenditures saw a substantial increase, rising nearly tenfold to 2.6 billion manat.
