In 2025, construction of three new mosques began in the Republic of Crimea, according to the annual report of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Crimea.
According to the annual report of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Crimea, 19 land plots were allocated for mosques in 2025. One mosque opened in the village of Chernomorskoye, while 18 other religious buildings are currently under construction at various stages.
The construction work covers a wide area: the Saksky and Sovetsky districts, Simferopol, Bakhchisaray, Sudak, Feodosia, and Sevastopol.
Preparatory work is also underway to reconstruct and restore the Orta Madrasah in Bakhchisarai, which, like the Zincirli Madrasah, is a recognized cultural heritage site of Crimea.
