Moscow aims to fulfill AZAL crash agreements - Mikhail Galuzin

Russia aims to fully implement all agreements reached during the meeting between Russian and Azerbaijani leaders Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev concerning the investigation of the Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) crash in Aktau, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin said.
"We are focused on fully implementing all the agreements between the leaders of Russia and Azerbaijan following their meeting in Dushanbe on October 9 of this year on the sidelines of the CIS Council of Heads of State session. As Russian President Vladimir Putin noted, 'Everything that must be done in such tragic cases will be done by the Russian side,'" Mikhail Galuzin said.
The diplomat added that Moscow expects the competent authorities of Kazakhstan to complete their investigation into the tragedy in the near future, which will allow for the resolution of all remaining questions.
"We expect that Kazakhstan's commission will complete its investigation shortly, and we will jointly resolve all remaining issues related to this tragic incident," Mikhail Galuzin said.
The Azerbaijan Airlines Embraer-190 aircraft, en route from Baku to Grozny, crashed on December 25, 2024 in the Aktau region of Kazakhstan. Thirty-eight people lost their lives, including three cockpit crew members. The skilled and selfless actions of the pilots saved the lives of 29 passengers.
