Ritsa National Park closed due to avalanches

The national park surrounding Lake Ritsa, a celebrated landmark of Abkhazia, has been temporarily closed to visitors, according to Chief Forester Tengiz Dzhergenia.

He specified that avalanches occurred at two points - the 22nd and 24th kilometers of the road, as reported by Sputnik. 

Dzhergenia added that crews are currently working to clear the snow and remove fallen trees.
