Fighting erupts between Kurdish Forces and Syrian army in Aleppo

Aleppo became a flashpoint for confrontations between the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Syria's government forces, as reported by the Associated Press (AP).

Earlier yesterday, Syrian authorities announced the start of a military operation in Aleppo, declaring the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods closed military zones. Residents were ordered to evacuate by 12:00 PM GMT. According to media reports, approximately 850 people left these districts.

The SDF stated its intention to protect the neighborhoods' residents and accused government forces of deploying heavy weapons.

Syrian authorities claim that SDF fighters have killed 25 soldiers and over 20 civilians in recent months.
