Earthquake strikes northwestern Georgia

Tremors were registered in northwest Georgia this morning, as confirmed by the National Seismic Monitoring Center of Georgia.

The quake, with a magnitude of 3.1, struck at 11:18 local time. Its epicenter was located 3 kilometers from the town of Oni in the mountainous Racha region.

The earthquake's hypocenter was 10 km.

No casualties or structural damage have been reported.
