US to release Russian sailors from Mariner tanker, Russian Foreign Ministry informs

Washington has agreed to hand over to Moscow two Russian sailors from the Venezuelan tanker Mariner, which was seized by US forces two days ago, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova reported the White House's positive response to Moscow's request to release the Russians who were on the Venezuelan tanker Mariner, which was seized by US forces two days ago.

Zakharova clarified that US President Donald Trump personally made the decision to release the two Russian sailors who were part of the Mariner's crew.
