ATOR: Egypt leads as top tourist destination in January

Egypt has become the most popular destination for Russian tourists in early 2026, according to a market analysis by the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).

Based on sales data from the Sletat.ru service for January arrivals, Egypt accounts for 26.7% of all tours sold. It is followed by Thailand (20.4%), the UAE (13.2%), Vietnam (12.2%), and Russia itself (6.8%). Notably, Türkiye, a traditional favorite, did not make the top five, accounting for only about 4% of sales.
