Azerbaijan clears over 500 hectares of mines in one week

From January 12 to 18, 508 hectares of land were cleared of mines by the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) specialists.

The operations resulted in the discovery and neutralization of 6 anti-tank mines, 63 anti-personnel mines, and over 250 pieces of unexploded ordnance. Personnel from military, border guard, emergency service units, and private contractors participated in the clearance activities.

The demining work covered multiple districts, significantly improving safety conditions in the Aghdere, Tartar, and Khojaly regions.
